Mission
EarthArt Village Cooperative Association is a residential intentional community of persons united voluntarily to meet their common ecological, economic, social, spiritual and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled association where people share land, encourage member-managed agriculture and businesses, and support and demonstrate cooperative, sustainable and harmonious living.
Overview
EarthArt Village (EAV) is organized as a cooperative association for land and building ownership, membership structure, consensus decision-making and infrastructure development (power, water, waste management, common facilities, etc.) EAV may include full and part-time residents, renters, non-resident members, and guests, to achieve a healthy diversity of involvement, and a balance of the necessary skills and talents for cooperative activities.
EAV owns 480 acres in the Northeast San Luis Valley. All residences, including the common infrastructure, are planned on the top 160 acres of the land. Land design and preservation planning are underway. The EarthArt Village land will not be sub-divided.
